This is the end, my friends.  There is no more Pluto Security to defend the mall, because the mall doesn't exist any more.  Thankfully I  survived by being out on an errand, but I fear for my regular employees.  Cid Highwind had been spearheading the protection of the mall for many months, and this may have resulted in him being in the centre of the catastrophe.  

However, I will not stand back idly when the world needs strong guardians!  Pluto Security will not fall!  Henceforth, Pluto Security will devote its efforts to helping those in need in the wake of this disaster.  Mr. Highwind, if you are alive, I hope that you will join me in this endeavour.  The work will be unpaid for the foreseeable future, but helping those in need will be a reward unto itself!

Anyone who can read this and is in need, or knows of somebody who is, let us know and we will do our best to assist!

Now, I just need to be sure Beatrix is safe.  She is strong, but I can only hope for the best.

This warning message goes out to all of you, but specifically to Mr. Highwind.  The escaped bomb, Mine, had decided to follow me on my rounds.  This was of course a high-risk situation not only to myself, but to shoppers at the mall.  It found me around the food court, and once I realised it was following me, I decided to try and lure it outside via the nearest exit, which was through department store #4.  Unfortunately, my plan was unsuccessful, as I checked behind me after leaving the building to realise that Mine was no longer behind me.  I raced back inside the mall in time to see Mine entering the security office, where Cid Highwind was working on some paperwork.

Mr. Highwind, Mine is in your hands now.  They seem to like latching onto people, and dislike leaving the building.  Perhaps with a little luck, you will be able to evade the creature, and it will explode before finding somebody else to latch onto.

With all of the christmas shopping madness over now, the mall's once again relatively peaceful.  Of course, it is still chaotic and the threat of destruction looms over us every day thanks to Chaos' grip on the world, but presently it is the most we can hope for.

I wish to organise an expedition to the northern ruins, to see what's going on at the top of the tower.  There could be potential allies up there, or a useful item to aid our cause.  I would like for the Arena victor, Lulu, to come along as well, especially with her new champion's belt to strengthen her, but if she declines then I will proceed either way.

I will need 2 allies to support me, and I strongly suggest that somebody else leads a group to investigate the southern ruins, but with extreme caution.  There may be a very dangerous monster down there.

I was defeated by Jecht in the Arena, and my hopes of becoming Mallboro's champion along with it, but I confess that I am happy.  Firstly, I am happy that Jecht has proven to me that I am particularly susceptible to armour break.  While I may be near impervious to physical attacks with my full plate on, with the armour being rather embarassingly broken I am barely any stronger than my peers in that regard.  As a man who devotes himself to duties of defense, this is unnacceptable.  However, now I have become aware of my errors and tactics, and can strive to rectify them in future!

Another reason I am happy is because Jecht has been defeated in the Arena, leaving only Lulu and Setzer competing for the title and the belt.  Both have a strong sense of justice and their hearts in the right place, which is befitting of a hero of Mallboro, and I will do my best to protect them on their travels.

It has been awhile since any attempts were made to explore the world and determine the extent of Chaos' influence, and while the robot in Prosperity is perhaps a little out of our league right now, we have plenty of other avenues to explore.  The blinking lights atop the tower of the Northern ruins interest me, and there is nothing to suggest an overwhelming amount of danger, unlike in the southern ruins. 

I propose that myself, the winner of the Arena tournament, and one other person (a white mage, perhaps) go investigate these ruins after the Mall calms down after Christmas.  I hope that whomever is victorious tomorrow night will be willing to join in this expedition.  Please say so if this is the case!
 

While I will as always be wishing everyone the best of luck in the coming tournament, I must confess that this time I am in it to win, and will fight relentlessly against any foe.  It pains me to do so, but the tangible reward of a champion's belt is too good to pass up, especially in our current world situation.  We need more strength, and with that belt, I would be able to really support everyone through these tough times.  I would embark on more quests, and I could provide everyone with the support they truly deserve, beyond my ability to do so right now.  If I should lose, I hope that whoever does win is noble enough to do the same.

That being said, I hope everyone has a fun tournament and there are no hard feelings between any fighters.  I must say though, that we could do with a few more 'honourable' fighters among the tournament ranks.  Aside from myself.  Jecht, Lani, and perhaps Jihl, are hardly ones I'd rely on to do our world good, since they appear to be motivated by fame, fortune, and power respectively. 

( To Cid Highwind Only )Some new Arena action is coming up soon.  It's been awhile since I had a chance to test myself.  I am hoping to co-operate with some other people, who can take advantage of my strong frame and dedication to covering my allies.  If not I shall fight alone, but overcoming far mightier threats with the power of teamwork is a far greater achievement!  At least being a temp means I have lots of free time to brush up on my swordsmanship.

*sniff*

Life can be cruel.  Everything seemed like it was going to be perfect, a dream come true!  Beatrix and I, to become parents, and we'd have done our best to raise a healthy, honest child.  I could have raised him to be the man I wished I was, strong without any prejudices or weakness!  But it's not to be!  It was all a lie!!!

*sniffle*

I'm sorry everyone that I have not been protecting the mall as well as I should have this week, but I've just been too upset.  I was so close to having everything I'd always wanted, and now it's gone in the blink of an eye!  I'm told she wasn't even pregnant in the first place... what cruel charade was this to prey on our hopes and dreams? 

Mr. Highwind, you have been an exceptional employee in my often wavering absence.  I have additional funds, and thankfully our office has not been ransacked this week.  I wish to offer you a position as an either a full-time employee, or assistant manager.  Whichever you want, it is yours.  It will mean demoting Moogle Kupo as assistant manager if this were the case, but I feel that you have proven your worth tenfold these recent months.  Your salary will be raised accordingly, and regardless of your choice, I will be giving you a healthy bonus for your efforts.

This is it!  The time of my life I've looked forward to more than any other!  I'm going to be a daddy!

Nothing's set in stone, sure, but all the signs are there.  My beautiful, wonderful Beatrix is getting a nice curve in her belly, she hasn't had her 'woman time' this month, she's been sick in the mornings for no reason... I think this is it everyone!  Would anyone like to celebrate this wonderful moment with me?  I have so much happiness right now that I can't keep it all to myself!

I'd better get in shape!  Need to be fit and healthy for when my new son or daughter arrives, and I'm packing a few extra pounds right now.  I can't even fit into my armour this week!  I've had to stick to just using chain mail.  I'm going to sign on at Jecht's gym today, and make it an investment for the future!

I wish to try and remain impartial this week, but it is impossible.  Beatrix has decided to support the vampires, saying that having each used the blood sword in our time, we are more used to vampiric effects.  In response to this, Cid joined the werewolf faction, to try and keep the security from becoming too biased for either faction.

I urge people who support vampires to avoid Cid and Cyan as best you can, so that there is less risk of him being made to attack you by one of the higher-ups.  The same applies to those who support werewolves, should you come across myself or Beatrix.  Best of luck, everyone!
 

He may be my boss, but what is NORG thinking?  Mallboro is a shopping centre, not a war zone!  Worse, he expects me to perform horrid duties on his behalf to ensure that 'BUSHURU-EVERYTHING-GOES-TO-PLAN!', so that he can get his full pay.  I tried to argue the point, but he threatened to completely sever the budget to the security division if I didn't comply. 

I am sorry everyone, but I must urge you all to choose a team, because I am not allowed to protect you from the vampires or werewolves if either tries to turn you tomorrow.  From what I understand, you need only act the part if you volunteer, rather than actually become a creature of the night.

I haven't decided which side I will join yet.  I think I will wait for Beatrix's decision, and do what she does.
